My girls are so lucky, too.

You already know that I could type all day long about how lucky I am to have found you,

and to have this amazing relationship with you.

It’s something I recognize,

and deeply cherish.

And fortunately, my kiddos,

they get to have YOU as a stepdad.

You truly are a great stepdad.

You are present.

You listen.

You are always trying to find something meaningful to do with them,

and even if its just making the mock slip and slide with dish soap

in the back yard. 😂

I am amazed at how much they like you —

ok even love you, cause you have heard both of them say it.

Sadie hugs you daily,

and tells you some of the deeper parts of her heart.

And while I might sound a bit petty at times cause she often reaches out to you before she does me,

I actually find that wonderful.

Cause that means she sees you like how I do…

someone who cares.

Someone who is trustworthy and honest.

Someone who loves.

And Emma is your athletic buddy.

Your roller skating partner.

Your funny accent conversation starter.

The person who scouts bunnies and kittens with you at the local pet store. 😆

And this season of parenting is tough! All the emotions, the roller coasters, different school hours and everything in between.

But here you are with me.

With us.

Supporting all three of us.

Stepping up. Showing up.

Consistently.

Every single day.

It means the world to me.

And while they might not say it every day,

it means the world to them too.
