Blue is the color of my true love’s eyes.

I remember the first time I really fell into your eyes.

In fact, I am pretty sure that song by Billie Eilish, “Ocean Eyes” was written just for you.

I remember we were sitting on the bench near the lake outside your apartment in NC.

A gorgeous clear day. All those birds flying around the lake.

I know you remember that day.

But outside in that natural light, I got really, really lost in your eyes.

I was able to really see them. Notice all the crypts and shades.

Amazed by the piercing shade of blue.

I remember trying to guess what shade could they be considered.

Bright? Baby? Ocean? Sky?

In that moment, they felt so deep.

And I knew then…

that blue was the color of my true love’s eyes. 🩵💙
