The most romantic proposal.

Spoiler alert:

I had a very high and sneaking suspicion that were going to propose on our one year of meeting.

You had way too much excitement glowing in your eyes when you said we had plans on our anniversary.

I remember after you moved in with me, I wondered how long it would be before you asked the question.

You didn’t seem like the type at all to wait years and years,

and I trusted that.

So I just told myself it will happen organically.

And it did — somewhat predictably on our one year! 😆

But I was still surprised.

I was still in awe.

When you asked me to get on that “sketchy” looking little plane,

I thought, oh….

I put on a dress, for this??

But again, I was willing to be surprised.

Though I had no idea you would ask me to marry you in that plane.

Well, the ground would ask….

Will you marry me Rae?

illuminating softly from the ground below.

And me feeling so happy in that moment

while also feeling silly…

Oh that’s why he kept asking where EE Robinson’s pickle ball courts were.

I had a beautiful proposal,

thoughtful, romantic, and well planned and all the things you had to do pull it off.

I loved gushing all the details to those who cared the most to hear them.

It’s something out of a fairytale:

An intimate sunset plane ride with illuminaries glowing below spelling out the words “Will you marry me Rae?”

Its the kind of story that makes hopeless romantics smile.

And I am reminded of my favorite relationship quote:
If he wanted to, he would.

Not implying all proposals have to be grand,

but when a man wants to — he will.

He won’t waste time.

We won’t be indecisive.

He will know.

He will move states within a few months of knowing you.

He will move mountains to be with you.

He won’t delay something that is true and meaninful to him.

On December 20, 2025 —

I said (a hell) YES to my best friend.

I said yes to the person I want to spend forever with,

I said yes to sunrise coffee’s,

I said yes to dreaming about all things together, big and small,

I said yes to bickering over dishtowels,

I said yes to it all.

Yes to forever.

Yes to Celamoria.

And I have never been so absolute in answering that beautiful question. ❤️
